The agreement
Terms of Service
Seismic ("we," "us") is an iOS app. By downloading or using Seismic (the "app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Seismic is, and isn't
Seismic is a research and tracking companion for sports prediction markets. It shows market context, helps you size a position, and records how your bets settle. Seismic is not a sportsbook, casino, or gambling operator. It does not accept bets, take deposits, hold funds, set odds, or pay out winnings. Any bet you place happens on Kalshi, an exchange regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, under Kalshi's own terms and account requirements.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) and legally permitted to use sports prediction markets in your location. Seismic is not available where prohibited by law. You are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to you.
No affiliation
Seismic is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi, Apple, or any sports league, team, or governing body. Market and game data shown in the app come from third-party sources and are provided as-is.
Not advice
Everything in Seismic is for information and entertainment only. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal, or betting advice, or a recommendation to place any particular bet. Prediction markets carry real financial risk. Decisions you make are your own.
Your account and your conduct
You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not misuse the app: no scraping or automated harvesting, no interfering with its operation, no using it for anything unlawful, and no uploading content you do not have the right to share. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Community content & zero tolerance for abuse
Seismic includes social features — chats, reactions, shared walls, and profiles — where what you post can be seen by other people. You are responsible for what you post. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior: no harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs, sexual or graphic content, impersonation, spam, or anything unlawful. Content that violates this policy will be removed and the accounts responsible may be suspended or permanently banned. From inside the app you can report objectionable content and block other users; we review reports and act on them, typically within 24 hours. To report content or a user directly, contact us.
As-is, and limits on liability
Seismic is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that data, grades, or settlements are accurate, complete, or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Seismic and its makers are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, or for betting losses, arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update the app or these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continuing to use Seismic after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Contact us.
Your data
Privacy Policy
Seismic ("we," "us") makes an iOS app that helps bettors research prediction markets, share signals with friends, and size their bets. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account & identity. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and an email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address) to create and secure your account. Sign-in is handled by our provider, Clerk.
- Profile you create. Your handle, bio, profile photo, and the people you follow.
- Betting activity you log. Bets and betting-slip screenshots you paste in, the markets you research or bookmark, and the results and grades we compute. Screenshots are read on your device to pull out the bet details; they are not shared with other users.
- What we send to our AI provider. To read a pasted slip, your phone performs the image-to-text step on the device, then sends only the resulting text (never the image, and with no account identifier attached) to our AI provider (Anthropic) to structure it. When you run research on a matchup, the relevant market context is likewise sent to Anthropic to generate the analysis.
- Bug reports you choose to send. If you tap "Report this as a bug," the specific slip's image and diagnostic details are uploaded to a private store so we can fix slip reading. Nothing else from your account is included, and this only happens when you choose it.
- Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.
- Usage analytics. App events (screens viewed, features used) via our analytics provider (PostHog), to understand and improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
To provide and improve the app: run research, size and track bets, show your trophy case and the activity of people you follow, send notifications you asked for, and diagnose problems. We do not sell your personal data.
Who processes it for us
We use vendors who handle data on our behalf under their own terms: Clerk (sign-in), Anthropic (reading slips and generating research, text only), PostHog (analytics), Apple (Sign in with Apple, push delivery), Cloudflare (image storage), and Railway (hosting and database). Public market and game data we display come from third parties such as Kalshi, SportsGameOdds, and ESPN; that is not your personal data.
Your choices & rights
- Notifications can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
- Profile visibility. You control which of your activity is shared with the people who follow you, including hiding bet amounts and your trophy case.
- Deletion. You can delete your account, which removes your account and associated social data from our systems.

Seismic is for adults, for entertainment. Prediction markets involve real money and real risk.
Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live.
- Seismic is not available where prediction markets are prohibited by law.
- Betting itself takes place on Kalshi, which sets its own eligibility and identity requirements.
Play within your means
Only stake what you can afford to lose. A grade or a green streak in Seismic is a record of the past, not a prediction of the future. No tool removes the risk from a bet.
